Have you considered what the forum would look like if people routinely posted requests to start games here?

You can try using the "general messages" chat, or just join a queue for 7 Wonders and wait.

No, they can't use it, because general messages chat is for premium users only, which they are not. So I guess they have to join a table and wait or become premium themselves.

I guess I should "check my privilege." I rarely use general messages and didn't know the restrictions on it.

I'm pretty sure General Messages are for everyone. I am premium, but my husband is not, and I just checked on his account and it doesn't indicate he can't post in General Messages (I didn't actually post a message, but it did allow me to type in the box to do so). The benefits listed on the premium page also don't mention this.

But I agree, forums are not the place to request tables - as Meeplelowda pointed out, if everyone did so, there'd be little else.

This forum definitely isn't, but I cannot see much harm in someone using the game forum for games with a premium restriction.

You can write it, but are not allowed to post it. At least it's what I know from some non-premium account.

Hmm, it would seem so, judging by some other posts around forums. That seems like an odd restriction, since I always assumed general chat is for coordinating games (judging by the messages there, although I honestly find it spammy, and turn it off for myself).

Anyway, as I also saw on another thread discussing the general chat, one could instead post to the player group for the game they're interested in (eg. 7 Wonders Players in this case), which is more likely to reach players who might actually be interested in playing.
