Winning a game against a player should ALWAYS be worth a MINIMUM of ONE point on the progression track. New Game. Lots of New players. Treating experienced players as guinea pigs is not encouraging players.

This is nothing specific to this game, it's a standard bga thing.
You're probably winning 0.3 shields so it's not visible ;)

Since the default requires me to play "players of my level" then I should not be paired against players with a 100 rating and thus earn no points. Every win should net AT LEAST ONE point on the Bronze-Silver-Gold-Platinum-Diamond step ladders. Beating another player has to be worth something.

yeah, being on diamond and trying to get to elite, then playing someone on Bronze, means a win is zero, and a loss is -4. so harsh.

You can restrict matchmaking to play only against players of your league

No, you can only restrict to players of your ELO. There is no function to restrict to your "league"
So I had to play a Silver league 189 ELO and earn zero Rankings in Diamond with my 286 ELO.

it is Schade. A win, any win, should net one minimum ranking when we are risking FOUR!

In the settings for an arena game, it says this:
Opponent's level
I'm okay playing with:
  • My level
  • Near my level (+/- 1)
  • Around my level (+/- 2)
The +/- 1 and +/- 2 indicate that this is about leagues, not ELO.
