I got a near optimal filing combo yesterday

Started off with a file card. Then got a second file card. Third card was t1 upgrade extra file. 4th card was… t3 upgrade discount. Somehow the energy all lined up for it. And my 5th card was t3 “free file when you build”
Of course I won that game, but my opponent was having some bad luck I think. Anyhow, I’ve never really had such a game that was so close to the theoretical optimal. Was wondering what lucky builds you guys have experienced. Or if anyone has some cool pure theory builds that are unlikely to materialise in a real game.

Filing is a weak strategy unless you somehow get the perfect cards for it. Even the build you mentioned has a problem. You build and file every turn. Your opponent is probably going to be able to research and build every turn once his engine is going. He's going to be seeing A LOT more cards than you. You're also going to have to build the card you filed, even if it isn't perfect for your strategy, to open up the file slot so you can build-file again. When you file, you're going to be picking from the leftovers in the market, but your opponent is seeing 3+ fresh cards every time he researches. Also, if your opponent research-builds, he isn't recycling the cards in the market for you.
Taking cards from the market seems like something you should avoid unless the card really fits your strategy. You wind up giving your opponent a free look at a fresh card from the deck whenever you take from the market, which might be a perfect card for his strategy.
A lot of the level 3 deck file cards probably should be in the level 2 or even level 1 deck (or slightly weaker variations).
Ideally, you're only going to take 2-3 file actions the whole game, which is why I try to avoid taking a file card at the beginning of the game.
