Board Game Arena

I know the rule is "deal a starting hand of 4 train cards".
But, on my experience, evwery player starts with the action of pick new train cards. Is there some statistics about that?

I suppose it will be more efficient if everyone starts with more trains cards (like 6 or 8).

We just follow what the rulebook says. And some start by reserving some small important routes as soon as possible.
