I got -30 arena points for a turn based game that I haven't used most time in (and I was winning that game)

It switched to friendly mode, I lost elo, I calculated all the times for the players and the red player used almost twice as much time as me.

The game has ended now, I won, you can see the thinking time. One of my opponents used 6 days, me and the other guy 2 days.

Apparently people were rewarded pts at the end without even playing. I don’t know if there was a system error or it corrected miscalculations at some point throughout the season.
To your point I stop playing tb games well before the deadline to prevent anything like this. I think the site actually shouldn’t allow table creation at a certain point for arena games. Ex. If your game is estimated to last two weeks you should have to start that game at least 3 weeks before season ending.

You didn't lose ELO that I can see, neither on the game end page, nor on your ranking for Terra Nova (your graph of ELO just moves consistently upwards). Yes, you did lose 30 Arena points, but I wouldn't expect that to matter as everyone's Arena status is reset at the start of the new season (not necessarily all the way back, but everyone drops down at least a league or two), which should mean Arena points go back to base level anyway? Although I could be wrong on Arena points, as I know they're just not visible in lower leagues - but I would have expected Arena points to reset too.

Estimated times are not times. Just because average plays take 3 weeks, some games might be done in a day or two (and not necessarily in line with the game speed chosen). New games are blocked out 5 days before season end anyway (but same threshold for all games).

I did loose elo and arena points as I was the slowest player at that table which I wasn't!

If you are playing a game like chess where the amount of moves can widely vary then sure it won’t work. But most games have a preset # of rounds or a much smaller range of the amount of moves it requires to finish a game. Ex. ticket to ride. You shouldn’t be able to open a table at one move per day a month out because that is only 30 moves and at min the game requires way more than that. So the game should automatically be 4 moves per day so that the players must complete the game prior to season ending. With the week cushion this also allows time for games on the higher end of the range to finish within the time frame.

You are not alone.
I had 4 games running, 3 were counted as lost, which made me lose 60 arena points and about the same amount of elo.
I am quite sure that I did not have the longest thinking time, because these games all lasted quite long, and I was quite available during the last weeks, but I cannot prove it, because the games are still ongoing (and I am not going to abandon them).
But if I had (I had my sleeping times as well), well, then that's as it is. But I should only lose arena points for these games, not elo, that doesn't make any sense.
Furthermore, I was relegated to bronze, even though Gaia Project from somewhere mid-season was added a silver league, so it had three leagues, and I expected being relegated to silver. However, the silver league seems gone again, as now I have 9 points to go to elite. Will it appear again mid-season? Are there any rules on adding and removing leagues?

I play almost exclusively turn-based because I can't always guarantee when I can play, but I generally get on here several times per day. If my times online happen to line up nicely with my opponent(s), I can have a game finish in a day or two that was estimated to take several weeks. The other thing is that within Arena, I don't always get to choose my speed - I have indicated I prefer to play at 3 or 4 moves/day where possible, because anything faster needs playing hours, which are usually too limiting to the player pool (given I'm in Australia and on almost opposite timezones to US/EU players) but obviously a game that is finishing quickly is moving faster than that anyway. And sometimes I end up in slower speed games (very often 1 turn/day) because a lot of people don't know how to adjust their preferred options for Arena, or perhaps they're launching from game pages (I assume) meaning it doesn't use preferences anyway (and flexible playing options from there can put people in games they didn't intend, not to mention many don't even know flexible options exists).

You lost ELO from games still running? How did you see this? Again, for Gaia project, I can't see that your rating has gone down at all. Arena points I understand (and don't disagree that there's something wrong there).

It seems to be a system wide bug lots of players lost arena and Elo points despite not being the slowest. And some ppl gained Elo who were slowest

Quite easily: I was an expert player with something above 510 elo until just before the end of the season. I got the messages that I lost arena points, and I found myself being a strong player. I looked at the ranking and I discovered that I only have 462 elo now. No other games finished since then that could have changed my elo.
