Board Game Arena

I'm relatively new to BGA so there might be some nuance I'm just missing.
But when I go to https://boardgamearena.com/lobby, select Arena mode, and click the cogwheel on Turing Machine, the options are not set to anything, and the GUI allows them to be changed.
For all other games, the options are fixed values and cannot be changed in Arena.
I cannot see a post/update about the current Arena rules for Turing Machine. What are they (this current season 15, if it matters).
It would be nice to know what I'm getting into before trying Arena play, if I'm going to get some extreme nightmare puzzle or what.
Or are we truly allowed to pick whatever mode we want to play Arena games just like for the normal "Play" mode? That seems weird as an outlier as no other game seems to allow this?

Unfortunately, the options are not fixed for this season. This is a huge mistake in my opinion. Setting the options to Easy and 6 Verifiers, for example, has extremely little variety in the puzzles; basically, once you have solved one Easy/6 puzzle and spotted the pattern, you can solve them all with just a glance.

I am now one of the "Game Gurus" for this game, so we'll be able to vote for how to change things for the *next* Arena season, but the current Arena season just lets you pick whatever settings you like

I see, thanks for explaining. That seems strange and prone to, for a lack of better term, "gaming" the system. I'll probably stay in the normal mode for this season then.

Good news! The settings now seem to have been locked at Classic/Hard/6

Great. I raised https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=110212 earlier today, but it seems to have been fixed already.

Seems to be fixed. It is now fixed in classic hard mode.
