Some time ago I clicked to enter a tournament which should have started about 6 days ago...however, I never got any games...maybe the tournament is later or I misclicked.

Is it possible to display tournament entries, tournaments you entered and that already took place or will take place some time in the future?

You can also see tournaments you've joined in the "Recent Activity" part of your profile. The only tourney you've joined in the last few months hasn't started yet.
