The BGA Awards

Post by yidurecha »

Hello everyone. I just notice the BGA Awards and want to translate them. Could everyone explain what both the "best forest game" and the "best regular game" mean? I'm not a proficient English speaker and cannot search them in the Internet.

Hm, maybe casual / regular / hardcore refers to the complexity filter on the all games page: https://boardgamearena.com/gamelist?complexityTag=3

Best forest game? Maybe forest as a theme? But that seems a bit weird to me.

apparently, the a recent trend in board games is eco-friendliness, according to No Pun Included's Board Game of the Year 2023.
perhaps "best forest game" is in relation to that?
