Dear BGA community,

Even in fast time control, too much is added at every turn. it is simply impossible to play a somewhat fast paced game, people just taking 2 min per turn, get minutes back after, taking your time to think is not penalising in any way...
Please increase the quality of game and have a stricter time management policy for those who choose to play this way.

Agreed there needs to be a faster option. And the default animation speed is super slow and slows the whole game down.

You can change your own animation speed in the settings, and I recommend everyone do that. Makes the game much more enjoyable instead of watching your cards sliiiiiiiide around the screen sluggishly all game. It kills me that the fast animation is not default.

Scroll down from the table and click the Options tab ...

i think catan should not be allowed to play from phone...

Just happens to me, and that really shouldn't be possible. It's not fair play to expell a player who needs more time for a complicated turn, and with the expansion that happens really often. I see this function for players who go afk in a realtime game, not for someone, who needs time for clicking and do all their actions.

There should be something in the backround, that realises clicking, and so don't show the expell button when a player is playing.

Am I the only one who notices that half of the posts in this thread complain about the time control being too long and half of the posts complain about the time controls being too short?

Thus, I have no idea what Polaco67 agrees or disagrees with.

I too wish that there was a much faster fast game speed option. Up to 3 minutes is WAY too long.
