Probably a newbie question.

I thought beige tiles in same region / town should all be different. But several times now I see my opps placing 2 tiles of the same type (eg two townhalls or two watchtowers) right next to each other, as in the screenshot attached. So is it allowed ? TIA

Generally you're right that you can't do this - however there is a yellow tile which allows this to be broken when you have it. I can only guess that the player concerned had this tile.
