Timer Penalty 3 days after game is cancelled

I won't bore you with the long version of the story, but the short version is that I quit a game immediately after joining, knowing I would take a karma penalty.
Three days later, I got a timer penalty and another large karma hit on that same game, with no way to avoid it.
Losing nearly 20% of my karma for a single misclick seems really unfair, and now I think nobody that I don't already know will want to play with a newbie with such a terrible score in so short a time.
What is the purpose of giving a timer penalty after the game ends? I thought it might be a bug.

That looks like a bug and you should report it. I just wanted to say that an 80% Karma ranking shouldn't cause any problems for you. The most restrictive table setting has a requirement of above 75% karma, so as long as you don't make a habit of leaving games it shouldn't be an issue. Each game you complete will increase your karma until it is back up to the maximum.

There's also > 85%, but going from 80% to 85% if necessary is quickly done.

Thank you, I have reported it when it happened days ago but it is either not considered a bug at all, or the devs do not care (maybe because I'm a new/free player, so my experience doesn't really matter. I could always just make a new account, but I don't care THAT much lol).

It has not been so fast for me, but I'll get there eventually.

As much as I don't always agree with BGA admin choices, I honestly can't say I've ever seen preferential treatment for premium members (despite all of the complaints in the forums about such). But I will also say (as a software dev myself) that fixing a bug isn't always the work of a moment, and you never know what other 600 bugs they're currently prioritising. I'd also suspect that if they fix it, it's more likely to be they'll fix what caused the bug and possibly not your reputation (which may well be recovered by then anyhow - especially as you're already at 84%).
