As the original publisher holds the rights of the previous edition arts, they had to go eventually at some point.

Anyway, large cards make the interface crowded (especially in mobile).

Appreciate the work, and the fact that it needed to happen, but unfortunately this is a massive step backwards in terms of accessibility and playability.
