BGA is hiring again and we are currently looking for a full stack developer.
Even if this is a full remote job, it's currently restricted to people around Central European Time zoneIn a context of strong growth, we are looking for a Full Stack Developer (F/H), on a permanent contract.
All BGA employees work from home (full Remote), or in collaborative workspaces.
Missions:
As part of the technical team, you'll be responsible for the maintenance and the development of the Board Game Arena "Metasite" Software (i.e. everything except the games and the game framework). You'll work closely with other team members, our UX designer and art director to improve the BGA service and create new features.
You will be responsible for:
• Develop the site's evolutions, both on the front and back ends,
• Contribute to the site's production release,
• Guarantee development quality,
• Participate in testing, validation and deployment,
• Monitor technological developments.
Profil:
With a sound knowledge of IT, you have over 4 years' experience in software development.
You have a good command of PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, CSS and HTML5. You also have a strong affinity for Linux (Shell scripts and Linux system administration basics).
All development on BGA are made by a few passionate developers, so do you have the ability to adapt to imperfect code? (Bear in mind that BGA is over 10 years old, and that it started out as a hobby project: you need to be willing to work on imperfect - and sometimes undocumented - code to improve it!)
Your human qualities, listening skills, thoroughness and commitment will be key to your success in this position.
Knowledge of other programming languages, and of reactive front-end frameworks, is appreciated.
You have a good level of English (as you will be working in an international team).
