Expelled with -12sec on the clock

Can anyone explain? It was dumb to push me into this position with a fiddling double build action, but I thought I had 8sec at least left to act when I finished the turn. I could not hit the confirm button, cause a red banner, which told me I would be expelled soon, blocked it.
Also: Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.

Had you used undo during this turn?
This release note may explain it:

delay to expel player now decreases from 20s to 0s, if this is still the turn of the overtime player (see viewtopic.php?t=26701 )
