HI all,
what is wrong with the poeple? So much toxic.
I make Games with normal Speed. And in most games, when i dont understand something oder overthink something, they start klicking the red button.

I was on a 3 man game. One of us were new and got much time and was many times in the red button zone, nothing happens.
But the other has the opportunity, when i was in the red zone, immediatly hit it. Its frustrating. Saw it many times.
Sad story.
bye

It's been discussed here ad nauseam. I'm sure you'll find other threads with people complaining on both sides, but the argument usually boils down to three points:

1) It would be nice of people to communicate better in chat. "I'll need an extra minute here" helps a lot, as does, "Are you still there? I'm thinking of skipping you." Communication helps both sides.
2) When players start a game, they commit to take turns within the limit allowed. Players are allowed to use their entire time window and shouldn't be ridiculed for doing so. Likewise, players are entitled to skip those who go beyond their allotted time.
3) THE SOLUTION: Be sure to choose an appropriate time window when you play games. It's as easy as choosing a slower mode or a turn-based mode.

I understand that was frustrating, especially when seeing another player dip into the red before you. Personally, I would not have kicked you for going -0:21 over if it was just on a single turn.

That said, out of 31 recent games, you have 18 timeouts. So you time out more often than not. Moreover, you often play on Fast and Normal pace. So may I politely suggest, consider changing your settings to only joining Slow pace games, for a less frustrating experience and improved karma.

Once you start consistently avoiding timeouts, your karma will get back up in the green in no time.

What's REALLY frustrating was a game of mine that just ended. It was a four-player game and it was the last player's last turn. I was leading somewhat comfortably and (I think) would have won. This last player goes over time and one of the other two players was Johnny on the spot to kick them out, causing a draw amongst the three of us, both of whom had much lower ELO than I, so I actually lost points.

That, by the way, speaks to an issue with ELO. I get it if you play a game to completion and end up in a tie with someone with a lower ELO than you that you should lose points. But, in this situation?

I agree. If a game with >2 players ends by quitting/expelling, no Elo should be exchanged.

Y'all should make a suggestion for this (I believe you can do this via bug report).

Or in the suggestion section of the forums.

That creates another issue though. If no ELO is exchanged, then people in multi opponent games who are certain they are losing could just quit and not lose ELO. There's not really a solution that's great, but a start would just be to not have any of the winners docked because of the tie. Go ahead and give lower ELO players who tied something at the expense of the player who lost, but just leave it at that.

People who expect to finish anything other than 1st will still be incentivized to be quick with the boot button, which is unfortunate. But I think this is the best that can be made of an unfortunate situation.

The forums are great for discussing suggestions with fellow players. If you want developers to see them and evaluate them, they need to be reported officially for the game or site, as recommended.

A quick perusal through your recent real-time games shows that you're consistently using roughly double the time of the other players. Slow real-time or one of the async time controls are likely to be far less frustrating for you and your opponents.
