Board Game Arena

Hi everyone,

So, I've been translating Backgammon (now that it was updated), and there seems to be French text in the original English. (If you select my settings, AKA English to Hungarian, you can easily see that there are 4 texts in French in the original)

What is the normal way of dealing with this? I mean, it should be a problem in the original English as well, plus it's annoying that I cannot finish translating it (well, unless I Google Translate the French into English and then translate that normally, but that's just going to garble the entire thing).

If you know the correct English text, you can fix the English original texts by yourself at the translation headquarter using „English to English“ translation. I would disadvise from using automatic translators from Google, Apple, Microsoft, …, they often don’t know the board game context.

You could contact the developer if the game adaption and ask him to fix the text templates.

You could create a bug report, so that the developer will get a notification about the translation bug.

I've upvoted the bug report regarding this, plus gave a suggestion to change the English using the English to English translator - hopefully someone will get on that soon.
