you can give a forfeit. But what is the difference between 1 point, gammon 2 points and backgammon 3 points for your place in the ranking ?
je kan forfait geven. Maar wat is het verschil tussen 1 punt, gammon 2punten en backgammon 3 punten voor je plaats in de rangking ?
vous pouvez donner un forfait. Mais quelle est la différence entre 1 point, gammon 2 points et backgammon 3 points pour votre place dans le classement ?
Sie können einen Verfall geben. Aber was ist der Unterschied zwischen 1 Punkt, Gammon 2 Punkten und Backgammon 3 Punkten für Ihren Platz in der Rangliste? ?

It is not relevant for Arena mode single games I think.

If you are playing a multiple point match, that is how many points you're offering for the forfeit. Does that make sense?

Maybe i'm wrong, but I understood that arkitsa question as following :
say, if 1) I lose a simple game or 2) I lose a gammon or 3) I lose a backgammon , does it affects the way my rating will be calculated ?
(or same question with "if I win...")
Can anyone share some information about this ?

I don't think the forfeit points matter in arena mode. Maybe better a regular button to give up?? Not possible now, so unnecessary game time

If the whole backgammon match is only being played to 1 point, then it doesn't matter how many points you offer in the forfeit. 1, 2, or 3 will all have the same result.
It will also have the same effect as a "concede" option (which is what I assume you mean by "regular give up."

Yes, I have already forfeited a few times when I have lost anyway. But several people refuse the 1 point flat rate even though it is of no importance. This makes the game take unnecessarily longer. You can no longer give up via the choice at the top right, you will receive the message that you cannot give up if you have played less than 50%. But at the end of the game the score is still regularly played at 0%

I usually resign a gammon if I have not yet moved off a checker - even if I know that I would lose only a single game if I played on.
Some opponents care about winning 2 points even if it does not have any impact on ELO. And others just want to move off all their checkers to fully enjoy their win.
Hopefully the progress bar will be working again soon...

It looks like the progress bar IS working (and maybe your already know this), but it appears to be based on % of points the leading player has compared to points needed to win. So in a 5 pint match, of the meaning player is at 3, progress is 60%.
This obviously is an issue for quick 1 point games as they will always register at 0% until someone wins.
Not sure if pips remaining can be used in between points to allow for within point % changes that can help players in quick 1 point games. Not sure how dynamic completion % coding is in the BGA framework.
