Am I the only one seeing a missing character instead of an arrow/unicode character?
In the Draft Direction string, and the Play Card button.

I'm thinking it's a problem with my typeface, which is possibly related to my operating system (macOS).

It displays properly for me in this and other games. It may indeed have to do with your system.
