Every time I get archeologist on silver lake, I find that I can copy the "play sponsor for money" action many times. (In addition to securing rep 5 and 8 if need be) A lot of the time, I have more blue in my hand than I'm normally comfortable with, and then after that, they are all on the table.

This is especially powerful with things that let you take stuff off the row. Here's an example of an archeologist coming down and then 3 sponsors coming down immediately after, including one from the row: https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=501109289

In real games with players, I often find myself using the snap conservation Income to take blues off the row.

Archaeologist is very powerful on ANY map where there is a high-value reward and lots of border bonuses.

Hydrologist is also very good on Silver Lake if you get it early enough - +1 money on each of those 2-money spaces. It's a lot of early money giving you a big boost - builds in that area are not just reduced cost/free, they're free or profitable.

Yes, either for the play money, or just getting rep.
Silver Lake has the most border bonus spaces and the fact 4 of them give money makes it very easy to abuse.
Not uncommon to get second worker from the rep track with it before the first break.
