Board Game Arena

I have started 11 games. One of them other players never played a move and six were abandoned after some number of moves by all players. This rate seems to be far worse than any other game on BGA. Am I just having bad luck? Are other people experiencing this?

I've played nine games in the last two months with no drops...wish I could say the same about Terra Mystica and Agricola.

play arena mode will be much better

Problem is your speed setting.
Very fast turn by turn makes it hard for people to know what they are committing too.
That and allowing people with low karma. Most of your games where due to time outs by serial quitters.
The combination of the two is a recipe for disaster.

I thought about this and made a suggestion for the site to allow players to change the speed of an ongoing game to a slower setting.
This would obviously requires unanimity like the collective abandon of a game does.

The idea is that if "shit happens", many players would probably choose that option rather than have someone just leave the game.

This is absolutely true - so many quitters. Some would even quit very near the end. And it's an at all levels. Real annoying.

I've found with most games if I filter for >85% reputation score in the table settings and red thumb every account that abandons the game in an unsporting manner, I seldom experience the issue.

My last five games have been abandoned. People really have a fast trigger when conceding in this game.

Out of your last 6 games, only 1 has ben abandoned. 3 have been conceded (which is not the same) and 2 have completed normally. People really have a fast trigger when complaining in the forum
