Every time I have played, I always start as Dracula. It doesn't matter if I invite others to play or I join their game. Why is that?

You had a streak of 8 consecutive games as Dracula. The probability of 8 consecutive games as the same character, if chosen randomly, is 1 in 128, a bit less than 1%. Not high, but not negligible. The probability of at least 10 out of 12 games playing as the same character is about 3.86% or 1 in 26.

I was about to ask a similar question - how do you swap roles. Thanks for clarifying it seems to be random who plays which character. It would be nice to have a toggle for random vs select roles though

The only dead cert way I know is to hit the rematch button, the site detects you played already and switches roles.
