Alhambra and Coloretto suspended

Hello,
As you know, we are trying from the beginning of this year to acquire exploitation licenses for the games we developed during "proof of concept" phase of Board Game Arena (tournoi-en-ligne.fr).
As it is today, 2 publishers did not answer our requests (Queen Games and Abacusspiele). We don't know if rights for Alhambra and Coloretto are available (and are not optimistic about this ...).
Consequently, we think it is wise to suspend these 2 games (from tomorrow evening).
We are sorry for Coloretto and Alhambra fans, and hope that it will be possible to have these games back in the future.
Cheers,
BGA team

sorry this had to happen, it is a shame, but such is life. I played coloretto enough I will be buying it. I just played Alhambra for teh first time last night and liked it, now I can not play again so I will not be thinking of buying that one - with out playing it a few more times online I am not sure it is a game for me, but I love all games so with a few more plays I am sure I would be convinced to buy it. For me if I am playing it a lot on line I will want to get the real game to have to play in person sometimes, or to teach people.
Good luck getting more great games, really sorry to see those 2 go!

Just in case anyone in the industry is reading this, we bought Coloretto (already owned Alhambra) as a direct result of playing it here. Just saying.

Thanks for the update.
I really enjoyed Coloretto (and ended up buying it because of this site). I am disappointed that it had to be suspended, but I understand why. Hopefully it'll return.
I think I'll send Abacusspiele an e-mail stating that I bought their product (via Rio Grande Games in North America). I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't for this site.
EDIT - just sent the e-mail. Since the site is in German, I had to guess which e-mail address to send it to. I hope it gets to the right person.

I am sad to see alhambra go, was a favourite of mine. I will be buying the NEW YORK version when released and was considering the Big Box if I cannot wait that long for it to come to Australia. Hopefully you can convince those who grant matter to let you bring these games back.

That's too bad... I was just looking for Alhambra and thought this might have been the case. I was just going to try it for the first time after avoiding it in stores for ever... Might have changed my mind, but I guess it wasn't meant to be! Best of luck on future endeavors with publishers!

Well, it looks like an e-mail can make a difference!
I received a response from Abacusspiele and, well, I'll just post the the e-mail.
"thank you for your email. we did not ask Board Game Arena to suspend the game. In fact my boss was on a vacation and wrote to the BGA admin that he first needs to come back home. I will contact the admin and tell him he can put it online again. As long as it is a cost-free site and no one else buys a online gaming license we have no problem with this concept. I hope you enjoy the game!
Best regards
Matthias"
So it looks like Coloretto will be back before we know it!
