Board Game Arena

I was thinking about attempting to build/develop Leaving Earth (base set) and was wondering if this was already in progress. My guess is that getting the images set up, and the math being the hardest part. But the actual rules aren't many, and it's just importing everything?

I don't know if the game has been worked on here already. But make sure that BGA has the necessary license to actually make such a development.

I ordered Leaving Earth several months ago and I'm still waiting for it to ship (it can apparently take a year or more, which I knew before ordering.) There's a certain amount of drama around that particular game. As I understand it from the BGG forums, the game is published by the small mail-order business of the family of the designer but the family and the designer are maybe not speaking to each other anymore or something...

It's really none of my business except that it does mean that the family doesn't really operate as a traditional publisher with all those unnecessary frills like "production timelines" or "customer service."

I would love to play Leaving Earth on BGA. Or, well, anywhere. But I bet getting the license would be a very complicated mess and it seems, from very much the outside, like there's a lot of bad blood.
