How do I use the BGA app to place a space station with Ivits? Not clear.

Did you read the FAQ? I'll bet this is one of the questions covered in it. I think there's a specific entry for Ivits.
The FAQ is at the bottom of EVERY GAME in the How To Play section. It's also the top-voted bug report here:
