Board Game Arena

Hi. I am in the middle of a 3 p game. We are about 20 turns in and one player has not played any cards. They have built, sponsored for $, collected cards and done some association actions. Is there a reason/strategy that I am missing? They haven’t played before on BGA; but feel that the point of building a zoo with animals is pretty basic. I am happy for my play. (Just wish the breaks were timed a little longer.) I am unsure of what I am missing or other reasons. Thanks

Its the guys first game. Its probably not a secret strategy. I'd guess it more of an 'oh no what did I sign up for' moment. And I guess I'll go through the motions so these other guys can play the game rather than quit.
