Board Game Arena

Title says it all. I played one game against friends, and read the rules in their entirety. So I know how to play. But I'm still a beginner, and it takes time to look at everything and figure things out as I go.

I tried to play a random real time game here yesterday, but my opponent got annoyed that I was so slow and asked to cancel the game very early. I can't say I blame him. In games that I know very well, I'd probably get annoyed by very slow beginners, too. Of course, that's why I'd usually choose a faster time control in those games, but still.

Anyway, if any other beginners want to play a slow real time game, and maybe chat as we play to help each other figure things out, let me know. If there's already some sort of group for that, please let me know.

I'm definitely not a beginner but if you find two other people feel free to invite me to a game, I'm happy to give tips or to just be an opponent!

I'm new to BGA AND Terra Mystica I had the same experience of trying to play a game I knew but with expansions I didn't. I took too long and they cancelled the game. It scarred me a little bit. Would love to play and learn with other beginners. Just got Terra Mystica and read the rules, watched a video, and I feel ready to try a game. I'd play in real time or A-Sync.
