This was just on another thread and someone helped me figure it out.
Go to play a simple game, real time, and act like you want to start a game. There is an area in the middle of the screen that says you are subscribed. Click that area and it is over

Oh, the subscription thing? I thought the first poster wanted a way to opt out of game invites, which I think is impossible.
