Board Game Arena

I created a project and postpended my initials to the game name, e.g. <game><initials>.

I have been doing local backups during development but now I am ready to push the code to source control.

When the game goes to Alpha I really just want the project to be known as <game>.

I guess I have two options:

a) Submit as-is and hope project name is easy to change later on

or

b) Change the project name before my first submit to source control

What's the easiest path to follow?

p.s. There is a complication that I may be re-implementing an unfinished project. So I am anticipating a name clash! In which case I am swaying towards option a)

The project name cannot be changed after BGA main server deployment.
Create the project with the correct name and copy your project there.
If you can't for some reason (someone already created and abandoned or deleted the project with the name you need), you have to request the project to be copied to the destination when asking alpha release, by replying the ticket you received.

Indeed, the project name was already registered (but deleted/abandoned).

I need to get ready for alpha and then face the issue.

Is it the game name, or the project name?

If it's just the game name you are worried about, then I believe the admins can do that for you. And it will be your project name linked to the actual game on BGA. Just request it when going to Alpha.
