Board Game Arena

Hey,

as the game developer of Tichu I have added a new experimental replay mode. Let me know what you think about it.

When you have entered the Replay of a game watch out for the "Experimental Replay" link in the User Preferences section. The new replay bypasses the standard BGA replay and creates a dedicated user interface just for replaying. Notable features:

- Very fast stepping through the game.
- All four hands and passing cards visible throughout the replay.
- Ability to go backwards.
- Jump to next/previous round.
- Keyboard shortcuts for making the experience really fast.
- Score board overview.
- Red highlighting, if a passed card completes a bomb.

But it only works for games that were played after today's release!

This is simply wonderful: thank you so much, Dash! It is so much easier to see what is passed to everyone, and it certainly saves quite a bit of time by showing all 4 players' hands at once.

Experimental replay makes it extremely easy to evaluate passes.

Plus with perfect information about every person’s hand, I can finally evaluate different passing conventions.

(I gave my partner PH in the game…What might happen if I keep solo Dragon/PH/A and give my partner a K instead?)

Also, it is easier to refer to a specific round and point out mistakes plus a different way to play the hand when helping another person

Useful when trying to coach/mentor or help someone else get better at this game.

Experimental replay stopped working a few days ago.
Also the feature that shows the cards in current trick and its points.
Do you think it’s possible to get them back?
