Variants?

I'm not a programmer. I'm just wondering how difficult it would be to program some different variants. From a layman's perspective, some variants seem especially easy, as the only difference is the starting position. These include Nackgammon and Long Gammon. The rules and game behaviour are exactly the same otherwise. Any chance we could get the option to play these variants?

We already have one available variant, Hypergammon.
And I'm not a programmer either but I'd imagine you're right that adding more wouldn't be very difficult.
With the already small player pool for backgammon on bga, there might be a lack of interest for additional variants.
However, on the flip side, it could also bring in a bunch of new players. As it stands currently, even with the new update there is very little incentive for any active backgammon players to choose to switch over to BGA from a different platform. But having those variants would be the one thing that would make BGA Backgammon stand out among other popular BG platforms.
