Why do some players join a table, decline, then keep joining that table only to decline? I've had to block quite a few players who keep doing this cause they make it impossible to get a game going. Are they sabotaging or what?

I don't think it's sabotage as such. If you use the "Play now" screen and don't have preferences set it can take you to a game with settings you don't like - especially newer members who don't know about setting preferences. Very new members may not even be aware there are other ways to join a game, and so keep joining tables.

Or maybe you've upset them in a previous game?

It's usually the same player that keeps joining and declining

Then ask the player.

The last time this came up on the forum (I think about six months ago) it turned out there was a bug. If this is happening a lot in different circumstances you might want to report it. If its a one-off then it may just be someone new to the site having difficulty with the interface.

They're really instances of the same person (not beginner) joining, declining... Joining next table, declining... Joining third table, declining.

New person every time.

Mostly happens in Ticket to Ride.
