Board Game Arena

Any1 else agrees, that the elo-system in arena mode isn't ideal on boardgamearena? I play lots of 'forest shuffle' and I am right now on rank 20 in arena mode. I am matched with lots of ppl. with a way lower rank and normaly earn +4 and lose -20. Why doesn't bga wait longer until a person with a similar elo is matched? Right now it feels as if I am just matched with the next best person around. This isn't the idea behind an elo system, is it? Thanks for any answer and discussion on this topic.

Do note that against that player you are estimated to win 5 times more often than you lose.

The concept of Elo rating in itself doesn't have anything to do with matchmaking.
