First player indicator?

Sorry if it's a dumb question,

When selecting the opening hand, is there a way to tell which player will go first or do you go in blind? I'm asking cause sometimes whether you get to play association first might affect your card choices.

E.g. scenario, you get lizard breeding program and two lizards, one Europe and one Australia. Europe is also a base project so you would naturally want to keep the Europe lizard. Both players have association at power 3 or higher. If the opponent goes first and nabs the Europe partnership you would want to keep the other lizard as backup. Now, if you knew you get to go first at card select you don't need that backup lizard and can opt for another card, say two sponsors instead of one.

That's the gist of it.

First player starts with 0 attraction (-14 total score), second player with 1 (-13), and so on.

In paper we just call them tickets. ( We use Dutch version and not even sure what the dutch translation is for them)

The German rule-book also calls it "Attraktion". When playing on the table we call it "Tickets" (like Monkeyunit) because the board shows tickets (with income for the zoo owner).
