Question: Updating an existing game?

I am wondering about BGA's policy on updating an existing game that was developed by another person.

I am currently not registered as a developer on BGA, but thinking about it. Rather than creating a game from scratch, there's a game I play often (Decrypto) that could use a few updates/bug fixes/enhancements. I have no idea who the original develop is, but there has been many suggestions and reports that haven't been taken care of yet.

You can open a game page and there will be a mention of a person who developed it: https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=decrypto
For this game it is Mistergos.

Several years ago I step in for a small game and started maintainig it, after the designer ask here in the forum. Since the original developer had nothing against, that was really easy.

At first try to contact the developer Mistergos (taken from the page https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=decrypto) and ask if you can support/assist.

Note: Just wrote this the same time KuWizard posted :)
