Friendly mode rules. Definitive rules

I had many discussions about friendly mode cause there are not clear rules (there is a special circle in Dante´s Hell for the inventor of the friendly mode

ha ha ha).
I propose as definitive rules:
Not use the robber with any player until they have 3 points or 2 dev cards.
I mean not use the robber to steal. It is allowed to blocked a player without not robbing.
This is my friendly mode. This is how I played.
In the next discussion, I will send the complaining players to this chat.
I suggest to do the same if you want.
Thanks a lot, cataners.

The term "friendly mode" is a site-wide setting regarding game timers and penalties to karma if games are quit or abandoned.
We can't start redefining the term for one games specific rules

Totally agree. But you know some players expect to not use the robber until they have 3 points. Sometimes you cannot steal a player with 4 or 5 cards cause they have 2 points. Absurd. Sometimes you steal a player with 3, but blocking a player with 2. And they complain. For me, the best is never use the friendly mode. It is not in the rules. But... when the first player with a 7 don´t use the robber, we have to respect this ´friendly mode´ and then is when some players say: "never heard about 2 dev cards, in friendly mode you cannot block me".
Thanks to read my post and more thanks to comment.

Friendly robber was recently introduced as an option. It follows the variant described in the rules and can be activated in set up.

Are you talking about the "friendly robber" setting or the "friendly mode" setting?

Why does the first player who rolls a 7 get to decide what the other players can or can't do?

Exactly. just because the rolls are not working in one player's favour, we need to continuously punish them because they can't control when the 7 rolls? I don't know about others, but I don't find it fun when the randomness of the dice makes me lose.
