ELO between multiple players in case one drops out

Hello dear BGA team,

first I want to thank you for providing this wonderful site, that allows us to easily access so many beautiful games.

But I opened this threat because I felt a bit disappointed by the ELO rating for my last recent match of Cartographers: https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=529721855

I won but because one of the 5 other players left the game I just got a percentual ELO progress for besting him. However I got no reward for scoring better than all the others. In a game as Cartographers where there is very little direct interaction (there was no monster card after the player left), I think, the result of the remaining players among each others should still be rated.

In a game with more interaction you could argue, that e.g. the player directly behind the missing player could get an advantage and so the result is not significant and should be ignored. But even there the same could be said for the advantage of playing next to a weaker player. So even there I would prefer to see the remaining players being rated.

Just so you know, this is how all games work (not just Cartographers), if a player quits (/ is skipped), the game score no longer matters. No matter what, the game result will be counted as a tie between everyone except the player who quit (first).

But you can vote for this suggestion which proposes a change for this: https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=121841
