Board Game Arena

From 2 icons that were nearly indistinguishable - Species Diversity and Habitat Diversity, we arrived at 2 newer icons that are somehow even more similar to one another.

We'd need both the Bald and Golden Eagles' keen eye just to spot the difference between these 2.

They look pretty distinguishable to me, even on mobile without zooming in.
With everything coming over new, I think it could make sense to have the base game use the old symbols but not the expansion.

May be slightly better on pc, totally unreadable on mobile.

Would rather have the old one because if i dont zoom i can't tell the new ones apart.

Keep in mind that the new icons are part of Marine Worlds expansion and they are there to improve the physical boardgame. While on the tabletop its a straight improvement, when you go to play BGA adaptation, each physical component has to shrink down for obvious reasons. Unfortunately, it so happens that these icons just look indistinguishable from each other when they are small. Its not that the devs are doing something stupid. Quite the opposite, they are just making faithful adaptation of the physical version and the physical version was not designed with BGA in mind.

However, with enough complaints maybe we can have something improved about how these icons look.

Yeah, maybe in paper it's better, than people might lay out the project cards so the name and picture can be seen ( we usually shove them under the conservation boad to save space) but on here the difference is hard to tell.

Not sure what a good solution would be tho.
Perhaps remove the coloured rings background and/or enlarge the continent/animal icon?

If anything, I think the continents one needs an improved SVG image. The animal logo looks fine and crisp, but the lines on the globe get pixelated and make it not clear.
