Memoir 44 Group Stages setup

I do understand that the Stages format is still in Beta. It's been working great for my group of Frens and thank you for this initial implementation.
But, I keep getting asked by members and my best searching hasn't found a good answer here... can the second stage ever have a different map/board?
When you set up a tourney for memoir 44, there are options for 3 different maps/boards! I'm not sure why you'd ever need 3, but I'm presuming it's for some future plans. Regardless, are there plans to implement at least 2 maps/boards, so the 2nd stage could at some some point have that be a different map/board?
Oh, and while I'm asking, could there ever be a way to implement a 3rd map to a tournament? That'd be pretty intense and fun!
