Board Game Arena

I took over maintenance of Space Base over a year and a half ago. The original developer abandoned the game after it was released. I fixed a lot of bugs. There are still some bugs, and a few popular requested features - such as a confirmation button for card purchases - that players would love to have implemented.

I am going to be asking BGA next week to remove me as maintainer. I got several responses to my last request for someone to take over maintenance, but none of those people ended up actually taking on the project. So I am still looking.... The required skill set is PHP, javascript, and MySql, and a willingness to dig into some moderately complicated code. This game is a top 20 game on BGA, so attention to detail is also required.

I would like to give a shout out to greenjacket124. He does a great job of reviewing the incoming bug reports. Many "bug reports" end up being a misunderstanding of the rules, so it's a huge help to have him triage the incoming bugs. Hopefully he will keep doing that even if nobody takes over maintenance of the game.

May I just say thank you for your efforts to date and that they are greatly appreciated. I have no software skills, so I appreciate the work you've done that I cannot.

I think space base is fun. If this site made the UI better and sounds. And added the expansions. I would def be paid member. its addictive

I really like this game and now just started getting some of the real expansions.

I’m a developer and did PHP for many years though nowadays I’m more Java. My JS is moderate es6, mostly leveraging React, and low UI, more like backend for the front end.
I’ll have to take a look at how to support, but perhaps we can have a chat and figure it out.
