Board Game Arena

I used to be able to refuse to play a certain player if they were way out of my league. I can no longer refuse to play a game. It just takes me right into the game. How do I get that option back?

You're probably in Arena, go back to Simple games

In case you're actually intentionally entering Arena games and don't know this, that's how Arena works. You can't pick and choose your opponent. There is a filter, however, to only play with players at or near your level in Arena. Note that this filter is based on Arena level, not ELO. You could be matched with a 500 ELO player in the bronze Arena tier.

Also, even in Simple game mode you can filter by opponent level (based on ELO) so that you won't be matched with them. Please do this instead of routinely refusing to accept starting a game, as this can be frustrating for other users.
