Why is the joker on the low end in the ordering of cards? Doesn't it play as high?

And what does this mean? "the Joker cannot ignore the combination type" -- maybe it should say this after that? : "...unless played by itself."

The fuller context shows this: "President is played with a standard 52-card deck and 1 Joker. Following this hierarchy (lowest to highest): Joker, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A, 2. A Joker can be used as either the highest ranked card or a wild which can be used with other cards, but the Joker cannot ignore the combination type."

That whole thing was a little confusing and seemed contradictory to me.

Maybe including examples would also be good.

I also couldn't find explanations for any of these options- where can I find them?

Playing a single joker without any other cards is allowed only when the current combination is a single.
Fixed the BGA wiki page, but anyone can edit it as well.

Check the option list by setting 'Rule set' as 'Custom'.
