At table #529040578, I have the Lithium-Ion Battery tech card, and I've upgraded it into my square (top) tech row. The square ability says, "Gain the benefit & pay to gain the bonus of your current position on any track. Use at most 1x/turn." The requirement is, "You or your neighbor must have discovered [exploration track] Space Shuttle/10." The green player is my neighbor, and that player has discovered that level on the exploration track.

But I'm not sure how to actually make the Battery's square ability work. There is no button for it in the actions row (where I an advance or choose to take income). If I click the tech card, nothing happens. If I click my current position on one of the tracks, I get the error, "You may only advance by a single space." What am I missing? Thanks!

I realized that (I think) this is a result of me not understanding the Battery's ability correctly. I thought that the text "Use at most 1x/turn" implied that I could use the square ability every turn (as long as I qualified for it by having the tech card in the top row, and me or my neighbor having Space Shuttle). But I realized that (I think) that's not correct.

I have already used the Battery's square ability once, on the turn that I upgraded it into the top/square row. I think that this ability is only intended to trigger once by default (like other tech abilities); so the "Use at most 1x/turn" text does not imply that I can use it every turn; it just means that if something else would give me the chance to trigger the ability more than once in a particular turn (for instance, the Nanotechnology/11 space of the Technology track), I can't do that.
