Board Game Arena

I swear there is a new layout of BGA once a week and it is never better than what it was. Most of us have joined this site for its simplicity. It was very user friendly,easy, intuitive and with a very simple layout resembling social media taht we use everyday, like Twitter, Facebook. Instagram, TikTok.

All of those sites are owned by different companies but they all actually agreed on 1 thing in common, and that is the main newsfeed from which we keep up with our friends. Why then is BGA taking that away. Not even a reason to accept friends anymore if you can't even see your newsfeed when you long in. Can't congratulate them for winning a tournament, check out what new game they won and all the other little fun stuff on your feed.

For example: I'm in a group and I can't see their announcements or updates anymore since the newsfeed went MIA.

Who begged BGA to take this away.

Just go to https://boardgamearena.com/player and ignore the root homepage.

I agree, but there's nothing we can do ( we already provided feedback in beta, and again in https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=37520 ). I can't remember any major UI change which was reverted based on feedback.

What we can do is ignore the main page and only bookmark the player feed as mentioned above. Or, use the Chrome extension which gives options to remove home page clutter and expand the news feed again: https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30509
