Board Game Arena

Hi

Please, gurus, change this one back to 2pl for the next season! One game, turn-based, takes weeks and weeks to play with only one move per player and having to wait for all 3 to make that move.

I have taken this game off my favorites list now and given up entirely on it in Arena. It is just no fun al all when a game drags forever. Not exciting to X out one box, and 2-3 days later get to X out one other box, wait 2 days to X another box... I forget I'm even playing and it is a waste of my time.

*Maybe* 3pl is fun for real time? I almost always play turn-based, like many others. And there is no fun at all in 3 pl turn based.

Play with faster turn-based settings, or outside Arena.

Hard disagree - 3 players is much better (moons start to actually matter). If it's too slow, pick faster settings.

I can't say I have experience with turn-based for this game, but I think that's because the quickness of the game caters to real-time formats, which most players are doing in Arena. Two player games were 4-10 minutes, now three player games are 7-15 minutes. Not too bad of an increase, but its certainly not days or weeks like turn-based would be.

And the change to make moons have a negative bonus makes them matter now and games are way more competitive. Big fan of that change if it means games take a few more minutes.

Like a couple other highly popular Arena games on this site (Lucky Numbers and 6 Nimmt,) the speed/length of the game is a primary draw for most.

I'd recommend giving it a go and leaving the turn-based games for things that take longer. But to each their own.

P.S. it was me I was the guru that proposed this season's Arena change and have rained misery down from above. You're welcome

Why not play in real time? It's much better and it is recommended for this game. Then the things you say wouldn't be an issue.
