Use of multipliers (x2 x3 x4)

Hello,
a suggestion of change in the GUI. Whenever we want to use a multiplier token, we need to first select a spot on the group members board and then only choose either a multiplier token or select No multiplier.
If you first click on No multiplier or one of your available multiplier tokens, you get an error message, saying you must first pick/select where to use it.
I find it a bit counter-intuitive and anyway not necessary to force the order of the choice.
Why can't we choose in the order we want ? We're already into a "pick a group member action", so we could be able to first pick a multiplier and then pick the spot or the opposite, since anyway both "actions" are required to validate (selecting No mutiplier is mandatory if you have multipliers available).
The main problem currently if that it takes time to remove the red error banner and start again, and sometimes for very long turns with a lot of chained synergies, losing 10 seconds or more can make ones exceed his/her time.
