ELO

That's it, ELO is now hidden permanently. After the last update you were still able to track your progress on the home page after each game but BGA has since decided that we should not be able to see our ratings ever.
I'm baffled.

You can still see it when hovering.

ELO system does not work for Hanabi. I've seen a lot of Masters doing early saves to bomb, bluffing 4k for 1 coloured, playing trash cards when responded etc.

They keep making these incremental changes to hide it, and then it's still visible somewhere. As the previous person noted, you can still see it when hovering .
Looking forward to it being GONE GONE. Good riddance.
Next, maybe they'll deactivate chat for hanabi too <fingers crossed>

Yes it is sad innovation,
they believe that as long you can't see how much you do lose because of some people, and how little you do get, you won't be upset if someone ruin the game.
Why to improve match making system, add modes and rules varieties when you can just hide problems...

Unlike what they (try, but fail to) do, disabling chat after the first move was made, would be a really good change.

Any game is a passion, even a cooperative one. And there is a place for passion in real life too. The desire to completely get rid of passion is absurd and sad. From now on we will eat semolina porridge without salt and sugar. I probably won't.

I have absolutely seen a considerable positive change in attitude from 2, 3, 4 and 5 person games, following the ELO being removed. Previously, if any mistake was made by any person, there was a 70% chance the entire game would devolve into hatred and insults, rather than someone accepting a move, adapting, and overcoming.
I GUARANTEE the number of support and report tickets has decreased for the BGA team following the ELO change. Otherwise, this ELO change 2.0 would have been a reinstatement, rather than another removal.
At the end of the day, regardless of what you think would be better, they are quantifying what IS creating a better environment across the board for all players.
