I have a shape that cannot be placed on my board. According to the rules, I can, alternatively, play a single tile. How do I do that?

If it is your current table #540018076, you can place the tile - at the bottom on your board. Just turn your tile (90 degrees) so that it is an upside down T.

I had this situation in one of my games (but here it was impossible to place the tile). The program checked this in advance and only showed me a 1x1 square with the choice of all colours - very clever! It also checks if the tile has to cover a ruin.

If you don't get the option for a single tile, you can place the original tile. The game will automatically take care of this.

Rememember you can rotate and mirror.
