I mostly play real time games because I enjoy finishing a game before playing another.

However, there have been times it would be nice to play turn-based with friends and not be trapped in the confines of the timer.

The biggest issue I see is that when setting up a turn-based game I don't see an "unlimited" daily turn option.

If we would like to play longer than the 24 max turns it be nice to just keep playing and not have to come back tomorrow which might be busier.

Am I missing something or this how the system just works?

You can play as many turns in a day as you want. The turn-based timer just indicates the SLOWEST rate you are expected to play.

If you are playing with a friend, you can also use "Friendly Mode", but be sure that you change your settings to turn-based before creating the Friendly Mode table -- otherwise it will delete itself without warning after 4 hours.

You can also "switch to turn-based" after starting the game in real-time.

Yes, but this will give you an 8-hour-per-turn timer (in friendly mode!!), which may surprise a lot of players.

I have pushed a lot to get this fixed so I'm hoping it changes soon.
