Hi,
For the past few weeks, I've been trying to adapt one of my favorite games, Timebomb, on BGA, which is currently not available. I read that for a first game development, it is recommended to develop the game before asking for the license (in case I give up before finishing).
Now, it's almost done, and I'm wondering about the next steps before moving the game to Alpha (I'm not even sure if the forum is the right place to ask these questions).
I made a checklist for myself based on the "Pre-release checklist" page on the wiki, and a few points are still WIP (full list in the project at timebombbga/misc/checklist.txt). Specifically, I still need to code zombie turns, which I'll work on in the next few days, and I'm currently improving the mobile responsiveness.
First, the license is not yet available. Should I contact the publisher myself? If so, can I do it at this stage of development? Related to this, I don't have the official artwork from the game yet. Is it available somewhere? Or should I ask the publisher for it?
I'm also planning to test in the studio with a few developer friends to find areas for improvement. Is it acceptable to give them subaccounts (matux1, matux2, ...)?
Lastly, how do I add a dev copyright as required? Is there a standardized way to do this?
I've been searching in the documentation for answers to all these questions but I'm still not sure.
Thanks a lot for your help
