Since I mostly play 1912, this blue mission is one of the best in Europe 1912 because it passes so many big cities such as London, Paris, Roma/Berlin/Wien, and Athina. Also it only needs 5 additional trains to go Angora and 6/7 additional trains to Madrid. Since in 1912, there is a big cities ticket such as London - Angora, London - Athina, Madrid - Angora and much more, this tickets help to get more big cities ticket which have same amount of blue tickets. Also with this ticket, there is no need extra effort to build another routes since most tickets passed this tickets.
For original Europe, since there is no big city mission which have points more than 15 unfortunately this ticket is not as good as in 1912 Mega.

i dont tryed 1912 objectives.
but in oringinal europe , its the only starting objective i cant game with.

In multi it’s playable because it pairs decently well with a lot of tickets. But in competitive 2p yes it’s a bottom 3 ticket and I almost always trash that

I play 4p-only and its definitely one of the worst. The routes are short in points but its not the only one asking for one LGBT train. For me the worst is Palermo-Moskva when you dont get lucky with the LGBTs to claim Palermo-Smyrna quick.
That being said, with the 2 of the 3 1912 expansions (big cities doesnt do blue routes), it becomes way more interesting. Athens becomes the end station for A LOT of long routes so with a lucky destination draw it becomes one of the best starters.
I would rank the 6 blues in vanilla mode like this:
1- Brest-Petrograd
2- Lisbon-Danzig
3- Cadiz - Stockholm
4- Kovenhawn - Ezruzum (very relative, could be #1 if you get Eastern Europe routes and gun for Petrograd)
5- Palermo-Moskva (forces you to take only blind cards until you get 2 LGBTs)
6- Edinburgh-Athens
Brest-Petrograd is so OP, no LGBTs, no tunnels and so many double routes

Imo Stockholm Cadiz is the worst . You need to do the 8 train to be able to play and if you get bad cards you are dead

Why do you think going for Petrograd is compulsory? STK-C is a comfy route for me. Only risk is the high demand for the Essen routes. Better grab that green route quickly

Well, Im still most used to the vanilla version but the thing with the expansion is that blue routes in Mega Europe become almost irrelevant. You have mammoth 25 points routes as brown tickets (You have Madrid-Angora as a brown ticket ffs). Add that with players being prone to claiming more routes and the importance of blue routes is diminished. Why worrying about +10 points on a route when the score target will be above 150?

As a 1v1 player i love Edynburg Atena because it pairs well with with other 10+ point cards and you can also build one of 6 if you don't have good tickets and have the longest route. If u have good strategy its very good. I would rather Play it than petrograd briest
